New Years Resolution 2014!
WOW! Where has the year gone. 2013 was full of ups and downs and seemed to fly by in the blink of an eye. I want to refocus this year on some things that are the same as last years goals, as well as new ones that I want to help transform my life.
#1
EATING CLEAN
I have never felt so good (besides being vegan) until I started eating clean. There is nothing more satisfying than the feeling that I am fueling my body for health instead of crap. When you eat good, you feel good. Eating clean is a lot easier than it might sound. Lean meats, beans, rice, fruits, veggies. It just misses a lot of the major inner isles that are loaded with additives and sugars. When you make your own food, you control the quality and the ingredients. I did this for a while in 2013, but somehow started to stray away from it more than using it. Once your body receives those crap foods, its hard to get back out of that. This is one of my goals. Plus, hopefully this year I will get pregnant again and its a great healthy way to maintain weight while being pregnant as well as great nutrition for the baby.
#2
EXERCISE 3-5 TIMES A WEEK
This goal I wanted to range on the amount of days to fit into the life that I have formed. Some weeks are really busy and some are not. This range of getting me into the gym should still keep me on track, yet be manageable for life circumstances. Having these goals and actually keeping to them means that you have to make the goals attainable and have a plan. I HAVE BOTH!
#3
MEDITATE
Its amazing how well you feel from meditating, yet how much it can be forgotten and looked over in the scheme of things. Meditating for me, consists of 15 minutes of alone time, in a quiet space, listening to meditation music, and focusing on......wait for it.......nothing. I try to clear my mind from the days work and be still inside. The amount of quality sleep I receive after meditation far surpasses my sleep patterns on a regular non-meditation day. Silencing the mind is key. Men, to me, seem to be able to do this on a daily basis without the need to meditate more than women. Us women, we like to rethink, over think, think of what needs to be done and what we didn't get to, right before bed, or, in the middle of the night. I NEED THIS.
#4
BE POSITIVE
Having a positive lifestyle is key to happiness and a healthy life. When my personal trainer and great friend Taylor lived in the Springs, she was my guide to everything it seemed. She helped me look into my eating deeper, my exercise patterns, and my spirituality and happiness. She brought me to the church where I feel like I belong and enjoy so much. There should be no excuse to go somewhere, be happy, and look forward to going back over and over again. I want to be positive in my life on all circumstances. Instead of me saying we don't have money, I want to think and believe, "We are abundant in so many ways in life. We have money to pay our bills, to eat, to drive our cars, to live." Focus on all the things we have instead of what we do not have yet. Believe what I want my life to be is in the present and look at my vision board on a daily basis.
OK, so this is my 2014 new years resolution. Hopefully everyone has made some life changing manageable ones for the new year that they will be able to continue on. LIVE LIFE EVERY MOMENT AND LIVE IT LIKES IT YOUR LAST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
